Pricing
I provide many different services. Please refer to the services section to find my pricing.
When it comes to pickup and delivery, I don't charge extra for local pickups or
drop-offs (about a 30-mile radius). We can also arrange a meeting place halfway between us.
I do accept shipped orders; you will be charged the actual shipping fees both ways.
I accept curbside drop-offs and pick-ups at my home studio, or we can do an in-person
consultation. For the curbside drop-offs, I will follow up via email or video chats.
The Quilting Process
First time dropping off a quilt for longarming? Here is a step-by-step walk-through of the process...
Whether you ship your quilt to me or drop it off, this is my process:
-
I will contact you when it's your turn on my waiting list.
-
You can drop off your quilt top and back or send them to me. You may include batting, or I have some available for purchase.
-
I will chat with you once I have the top. We'll discuss who it's for, the style of quilt design you have in mind, and the color thread you're considering.
-
The quilt top and backing go into one of my delivery bags along with my intake form and all the notes about your preferences.
-
I take a picture of your quilt top. I will email you the picture with several quilting designs superimposed on top. It gives you a good idea what the quilting will look like. I also send pictures of threads or thread colors that will look best on your top.
-
You review all the pictures I send. Either accept one choice and one thread, or tell me what isn't quite right, and I'll send more samples.
-
Once you make your decisions, I will move your project into my quilting queue. The current turnaround time is about 30 days. I reserve my quilting for the weekends.
-
After quilting, I trim the quilt so it's ready for you to bind. I also offer binding service if you desire.
-
I call you to let you know your beautiful quilt is ready for pickup! Or, in the case of shipping, I'll send you pictures and let you know it's on the way!
